Vinay Deshmukh
Founder & Executive Director
Vinay Deshmukh is one of the founder and co-owner of 6 Degrees IT. He is actively involved in the Operations side of the business. Prior to moving to Canada in 2003, he headed CDAC training institutes handling the network in MP, Chattisgarh and Rajasthan and also was a channel partner for Reliance telecom and Reliance Infocomm for their GSM and ISP services in Indore, MP. Vinay is a motivator by nature and his core strength lies people management and his ability to build, nourish and prosper relationships both with clients and the team. He holds the Bachelors Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from the University of Pune and has been an entrepreneur since year 1995, having run success ventures in Education, Telecom and IT sectors. Vinay is a avid sports enthusiast and a keen follower of Cricket and Golf.
Rakesh Desai
Founder & Executive Director
Rakesh Desai co-founded 6 Degrees IT in 2006 and continues to be a part of the company's main driving force. Rakesh actively manages the company's growth through technology investments, new product lines, and strategic partnerships. Prior to founding 6 Degrees IT, Rakesh was the Sr. Franchise Director with WSI, an Internet Marketing Company specializing in Digital Marketing Solutions for Small and Medium Enterprises worldwide. Previously, he was a Sr. Marketing Manager at Reliance Infocomm (Telecom division of Reliance Industries Ltd). Rakesh holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration.
Parikshit Chitalkar
Founder & CEO
Parikshit joined 6 Degrees IT in 2006 and since then, has been instrumental in growing the business & streamlining internal Technology & Processes. After solidifying the company's presence in the international market, he is leading 6Degrees' expansion in India. Along with keen interest in technology since school days, a logical brain and thirst for simplifying things Parikshit has a very deep understanding of many software development languages, service oriented architecture, database design & is extremely knowledgeable in Network Security / IT Infrastructure design & Implementation.
Parikshit spent the early part of his career in Canada at WSI , HoneyComb Worldwide & Dundee Wealth Management moving to Ticoon Technologies (Canada's largest provider of Retail Practice management software for Financial Advisors) where starting as a business analyst he rose to a management position before co-founding 6 Degrees.
Parikshit is a licensed commercial pilot , plays the bass guitar and has been described as a "golf addict"
Saumitra Ganguly
Chief Operating Officer
Saumitra is the Chief Operating Officer at 6 Degrees IT. Apart from heading the operations, he is also leading the client services end ensuring seamless end-to-end service delivery across all business lines. He has been instrumental in streamlining the operations, introducing new service lines and growth in the client base of the company. Saumitra has over 7 years of experience in the Technology industry in USA, Switzerland and India. Prior to joining the company, he was the Technical Project Manager at Superstructures, Engineers & Architects in New York City, USA. His expertise includes technology consulting & information systems (particularly on the software side). He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from University at Buffalo, SUNY, USA.
Ajit Maya
Chief Technology Officer
Ajit Maya is the latest entrant in the management team of 6DegreesIT and took over the position of Chief Technology Officer in January 2011. Ajit brings over 10 years of demonstrated technology, development and leadership experience in the IT industry. At 6Degrees IT, he has been instrumental in expanding the development offering to mobile and social media domain. Prior to joining the firm, he was the Vice President Engineering at Softmen Private Ltd and was heading the entire development activity in the company. Ajit's forte lies in complex enterprise software architecture, management information systems, databases and various programming languages.Ajit holds a MCA from RGPV Bhopal, MPhil from Barkatulla University, Bhopal and MA in Geography from Vikram University Ujjain.
